Sing a Great Family Musical Movie
On a recent trip to the cinema, I had the chance to watch an exciting kids movie: SING. I was also surprised to learn of the all star cast for this movie.
Matthew McConaughey (The Wolf of Wolf Street, Interstellar, The True Detective) as Buster Moon,
Reese Witherspoon (Hot Pursuit, This Means War, Big Little Lies) Rosita,
Seth MacFarlane (The Family Guy, American Dad,) as Mike,
Scarlett Johansson (Black Widdow from the Marvel movies, Ghost In a Shell) as Ash,
John C. Reilly (Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule, Wreck-It Ralph) as Eddie ,
Tori Kelly (Not really an actress but a Solo recording artist from the USA) as Meena,
Taron Egerton (UK born actor, Eddie the Eagle, Kingsman: The Secret Service) as Johnny,
Jennifer Saunders (well known UK actress and comedienne from Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Absolutely Fabulous the TV show) as Nana.
With a cast like this for the voice overs, you would expect this movie would be great to watch and it was. Here is the reason why. Think of a child or a person who struggles with self confidence or fear. We all go some sort of confidence issues at some point in our lives, its how we deal with these issues that counts. The main tag line or much used phrase for this movie is “Don’t Let Fear stopping you from the thing You Love”. Helping children or loved ones who encounter fear is a problem which must be dealt with through ‘Love’, ‘encouragement’ and ‘reassurance’. Just like the Zootopia Movie I reviewed last year, this movie is portrays people through the animal kingdom; which makes this movie way more appealing to children and the whole family.
Each of these trailers are funny lots of different ways, but still adds up to one very cleverly done movie. The songs are great and the voice overs are even more fantastic
This movie in my opinion has a lot to do about redemption. Buster, the main character has cheated and swindled his way through life in the efforts to get rich. At some point his past is going to catch up with him. By the conclusion of the movie, it works out well and Buster has to give up the one thing he loves the most, the theatre his beloved Dad purchased for him many years ago.
There are strong performances from Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson and Taron Egerton. The jokes and one-liners in this movie make it a great family movie. If your child loves music just as much as mine does, I am sure they will love the songs and performances from ‘Sing’.
This is one great family movie which I am sure lots of adults could relate to. Also if you know someone or if you have a child who is going through a hard time with self-confidence issues, this movie tries its best on how to tackle self confidence related problems with encouragement and love. This movie is suitable for kids and the whole family. From the creators of Despicable Me, this has the hall-marks of a great movie. Its Funny and the music is child friendly too. The movie also tries to deal with parenting and teenage issues. Not easy to do, but it tries. It I for one, cannot wait for this to come out on Blu-Ray. ‘Sing’ is expected to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray by the 21st of March 2017 in the UK.
