Gadgets For The Outdoors Geek

Sharing is caring!

The outdoors geek is the best type of geek. Typically when we talk about this, you would think of a geek as someone who is indoors in their room all of the time, gaming away or doing whatever in the home.

But no, a geek is someone who we would like to define as having a deep interest in technology, no matter what it be, or where that technology can be used.

But we think the outdoors geek is the best type of geek because it gets you out and about and keeping healthy.

Unless of course you just love the idea of outdoor gadgets, you don’t actually go outside and use them… that’s sort of defeating the object!

But, for those of you who love getting outside and exploring, and would like to know a little bit more as to the gadgets that are out there for you, you’re in the right place.

We’ve got a great list for you that we think you should go and try out, you just have to battle this cold and go out and explore. In our eyes, now is the prettiest time to go and do it!

Binoculars are super cool and underestimated. They literally help you see in crystal clear vision for such a distance, and are perfect for days when you want to go on the hunt for some animals that you might not have seen before.

If you haven’t done it before, then you might think it’s a little bit weird. But it’s actually one of the most therapeutic things you can do.

All you need to do is find a good pair, such as the monarch binoculars, and get yourself in a good position where you know you’re going to see a good range of animals, and make sure you’re comfy for the day.

You’ll often find that it becomes a little bit of a stake out until you see something cool, but just relaxing outdoors, taking in all of the scenery and nature around you is pretty cool!

Now haven’t drones been in the press a lot lately, especially in the UK. They’re so much fun, yet capable of actually causing some serious damage if you decide to be stupid with them.

The UK has had such a problem with people purposely flying drones close to airports, most likely in order to get close up shots of planes, that they’re causing a massive hazard.

Some of these drones are actually pretty big, and if sucked into a jet engine, would cause a hell of a lot of problems.

So, if you’re going to get one, at least make sure you use it safely and away from others. But if you do get a drone, we promise that you’re in for endless hours of fun.

Once you get used to knowing how to fly one, you just have to go to some super cool places to get some great shots.

They can fly so high and agile, that it really doesn’t matter where you go, you’re guaranteed a good shot with them.

Gadgets For Camping

If you like the outdoors, then you no doubt like things like camping as well.

Camping is one of the best things you can do because it’s just so cheap, it’s like a little holiday, and it helps to make you feel more at one with nature.

There’s so many beautiful camping spots around the world as well if you were looking to travel and do it.

But our top piece of technology, especially for this time of year, is the battery powered electric blanket.

It’s just so warm and toasty, and keeps you nice and happy throughout the night. You’ll also find that it acts as a little radiator for the night as well.

It’ll definitely mean that you don’t wake up with a running nose and freezing cold as well.

The cheaper versions we think work just as well as the more expensive ones, you just need to read the reviews to make sure you’re getting a reliable and safe one!

Now this might be the total opposite to what you do in your day to day basis, but for those of you that do like to exercise, we’ve got a great piece of tech for you.

You might have seen pretty much everyone walking around with these, or heard about them so much that you know what they are, but Fitbits are the way forward.

It tracks pretty much everything you do, from weightlifting to walking, and is a great way of keeping your fitness levels up!
